Off the coast of Norway.
So pristine and lovely in the fall sunshine.
There are scores of islands off the coasts of Norway and Sweden, all reachable only by boat.
The patrol boats are impressive and fast.
Our boat leaves quite a wake!
Smaller boats need to be careful not to get too close to the wake!
The coast of Sweden is remarkable too!
Internet service is few and far between. Please excuse me for not being able to follow your blogs and cheers to you today from the coast of Germany!
Have fun in Germany dear Cindy.
Thank you my friend!
Klasse Fotos.
LG. Wolfgang
Vielen danke freundschaft!
Just love the colors.
Beautiful use of color to enhance beautiful landscapes! Thank you~
I hope you had opportunity to see Stavekirke (800 year-old wooden churches) in Norway. Perhaps Geiranger Fjord (sp?) and the Jotenheimen Mts (sp?). The morning air when crossing a fjord is crisp, cold, and very refreshing.
Yes I have been in the past to Stavanger, Trondheim, Gerainger, Bergen, Nord Kapp, all up and down the west coast of the fjourdlands on a prior month in beautiful Norway. This is the eastern side where we haven’t been. Never can get enough of Norway!
Cindy, these are lovely photos…such colorful houses. I don’t often leave a comment because there are usually a gazillion people who’ve said what I think…But I do want you to know that I truly enjoy your blog and your photos are amazing; they allow me to visit parts of the world I’ll likely never get to. 🙂
Such kind sentiments are very much appreciated and motivate me to keep blogging……and trying to find wifi up here! Thank you Carol, you touched my heart! <3
very nice pics! I just love the red and yellow buildings all in a cluster with that lovely sea. 😀
cate
It is pure eye candy and I am so glad you enjoyed! Cheers to you~
Some of the pictures here look very much like those I saw in my fairy tale books when I was a little kid. Maybe that’s why I get a sense of déjà vu.
It is very much the place that dreams are made of! Now in the winter, it would be a winter’s tale! 😉
Oh, I love the scenery. Those are the scenery many city people miss.
Yes, we all need contact with the unspoiled world. Cheers to you Yoshiko~
Cheers to you too, Cindy, we need the unspoiled world
<3 <3

Tak! Tak~
They look like toy villages and even toy boats! Maybe it’s the bright colors that do it. Your photos are lovely as always.
Bright colors and very strong light and clean, clean ocean makes for some idyllic scenery. Hugz to you Dor~
Are those houses that colorful? If they are then thats amazing..super gloss paints I suppose..

I love the bright colours of the homes. So pretty.
Gorgeous part of the world! Thank you~
I’ve always liked boats as a great escape and freedom and a great thing that the lifeboatmen do. 🙂
I was in an old fistherman’s cottage in Warnemunde Germany yesterday. 250 years old and utterly delightful. I will post soon. Cheers to you Graham~
The first pictures look like a model city built by someone even though I know they are real, the colorful houses just stand out. Enjoy your vacation and keep the pictures coming. A.G.
Will do and thank you too! 🙂
Reblogged this on Spirit In Action and commented:
Thank you Cindy! The water there is so dark and deep. Imagine it must be near autumn so far north-which is wonderful to imagine here where it is still over 90 every day! I love the colorful houses and So many trees!
Yes and major drought back home! Wish we could even things out somehow! Cheers to you my friend, hugz & cheers! <3 <3
I love the red and yellow houses.
Me three! Pure charm~
Beautiful early fall pictures of typical Nordic houses and islands! I see you’re having fun 😀
Had a blast yesterday in the coastal beach town of Warnemunde Germany formerly East Germany. Just delightful place! Hugz & cheers~
These pictures are splendid, Cindy! If I could choose to travel anywhere in the world, I would like to go to Scandinavia, so it’s such a treat to see your photos here.
I am very happy you are enjoying Scandinavia and I hope you visit someday!! <3
Is that common to see houses painted yellow and red like those in the pictures. Only two colors – ones’re red and the others’re yellow.
The wakes look interesting too. I am wondering what make them that way.
Nice photos!
I think the wake was caused by shallow shoals and the colors of the houses? Artistic inclined people????? 😉
That first picture is so cute, and the houses so like toy blocks, it almost looks as if you took it with a tilt-shift lens. 🙂 Lovely. I’m jealous of your travels and photo opportunities. Ken
Well I am jealous of your daily bread, so we’re even! 😉
I somehow missed that you’re in Europe. How fun! Are you passing by Gothenburg on your way to Germany? I’ve lived there many years. It’s one of my favorite cities in the whole world. Enjoy your travels!
Yes we were in Gothenburg and I agree, so lovely. Going to Stockholm too. Will post pics soon! Cheers to you~
Wonderful!! Enjoy Stockholm. It’s a very busy, but beautiful city. If you have time take a boat out to one of the islands. The East side of Sweden is very different compared to the West side.
Have a wonderful day!
Wow what a beautiful coast!! Have a grand time! Hugz Lisa and Bear
Hugz back to you two! <3
They like their colourful houses, I wish my road was that cheerful! Reminds me a little of monopoly – the little green houses and red hotels! 😀
Ohhhh what a fabulous analogy! Yep, monoply houses but real!! <3
Those colors are extraordinary, Cindy!
They truly are just that! <3
Stunning colours and they look wonderful at this time of year but really cheeful when they are surrounded by snow and ice…enjoying your journey very much Cindy.
So happy you are coming along!!!
Happy to carry bags anytime…..enjoy the rest of your trip..
I would love to have you along even if I carried your bags!!! 🙂
Thank you – in the meantime will enjoy the visual treat.
Scandinavia is one of my bucket list places to visit. Enjoy!
You will be so happy when you visit!
why can’t OUR buildings look like JuJU Beez…mmm? I swear quaint is not the word. What a wonderful kaleidoscope view of the world you share, honey. Your eyes must be so full!

Merci et tu aussi!
Oh, such a great trip you are on. Thanks for sharing it with me, I love your photos. I find myself longing to travel, but I also love to be home. I imagine your hummingbirds are wondering where you are. 🙂
I miss them!!!! A lot! No hummingbirds here! I did just photograph some very entertaining crows though!!!! 😉
Crows have their own charm. Not as easy to see as the hummingbirds, but still there. 🙂 I love how much energy you have for traveling and taking photos! 🙂 You are an inspiration.
The water looks heavenly! And the colorful houses look so beautiful, matching perfectly to the scenery ! ^_^
It is just gorgeous country! So happy you enjoyed~
I surely did Cindy 🙂
Dear Cindy, I love all the Scandinavian countries and the Norwegian coastline. I think this is one reason I like it so much in the Pacific Northwest. Thank you for sharing. Hugs! Veraiconica
Yes beautiful countries and people! <3
… and to think I’ve missed all this great travel pics while breaking.
The reds & yellows of the houses really stand out against the water.

You are marvelous for coming along with me! Cheers to you~
This is so nice of you to capture this area of the world, Cindy! My mother’s father’s family (Grandpa Mattson) came from Sweden. I loved the colorful and sweet little seaside cottages depicted here!
Yes, they are so lovely. I will post more photos of Sweden soon. Quite peaceful and beautiful~
I found an old black and white photographed book with Scandinavian sights. I have it on my coffee table and these photos you shared ‘bring them to life’ in color! Thanks for this, Cindy!
Oh how wonderful! I bet the b/w images are stunning!
So beautiful, Cindy! Have a wonderful week!
You too my friend and thank you for your continuing kind comments. They are most appreciated~
