  1. Beautiful shots, as always. Starting to rain, snow, hail here this week, so all the flowers that were in bloom last week are pretty well beat up, today. Thanks for the sunshine.

    1. Yikes!!! I have been hearing of spring! Oh dear. Well the harder the winter, the greater the spring! I have never seen flowers like those in the extreme northern and southern latitudes. Hang in there~

    1. You are beyond hilarious and the only one who told me!!
Cracking up……I should be embarrassed but it’s way too funny. Cracking up more…..How do you spell major typo? Reclining William? Non, non non! I am not implying the heir to the British throne rests on his laurels. Before I become more politically incorrect I should go to bed.
Still laughing. I am so glad you are the one who told me, just like you did. You rock~

      1. It cracked me up too. Sitting Bill is so cute. No need at all to be embarrassed., we all do it. I’m glad it made you laugh.

My favourite typo, of my own, is “I went to a Halloween party with some old fiends”. 🙄

  2. Happy April!!! And what a celebration your prepared to welcome a new month! Stunning photography!

I just have to add my most favourite April 1st quote!

The first of April is the day we remember what we are the other 364 days of the year.” Mark Twain

  3. Beautiful, all are wonderful, I will soon begin a painting for a FB friend that I following, he is such a sweet person and loves flowers, my painting will be a wildflower garden. Now that I have finished my latest poem collection I need to get this going. I enjoy all of your work. Ann

  4. Dear Cindy,
I love the photographs of the flowers, they are stunning. Our Spring hasn’t sprung yet.We are still having snow and lots of it.

  5. So many beautiful flowers! “In the spring, at the end of the day, you should smell like dirt.” Love that quote, by Margaret Atwood, But here in sunny Southern Indiana we’re still a few days away from smelling like dirt. 😉

  6. Cindy thanks for beginning my day in such a wonderfully beautiful way! I love flowers and there is so much beauty to absorb in these pictures….I can breathe a taste of spring through them. Have a very beautiful day, and thanks for the inspiring lift! Hugs and blessings!

  7. There is no better way to welcome April like this post. Here we see blankets of wildflowers on each side of freeways 🙂 Thank you so much, Cindy!

  8. We are not there yet (at spring) in my part of the world. The daffodils are up though. Your photos are spectacular and are brazen hints of blazing color to come. Thank you!

  9. You are at least a month ahead of us Cindy. You beautiful flowers make me anxious. Our foxglove plants are still leaves in waiting. Much smaller but beautiful shooting stars are popping up all over, however. Spring is in the air. Like Sitting Bull, I am ready to behold! 🙂 –Curt

    1. Robert Frost talked about how in April the sun is warmer, but the breeze is still chilly. Still one notices that winter is losing her grip. Won’t be long now I hope!

  10. Snapdragons and bachelors’ buttons! that Took me back years!
People told me that when moving to the tropics we would miss our European seasons and their flowers…but not at all! We have had the deep pleasure of knowing them for years…and can now appreciate what the tropical seasons can offer us….but I still like to see photographs!

    1. Interesting! I wondered if I would miss the seasons if I lived in the tropics. If you had cold winters, I can see how it would be a relief. But just the change, as you say, must be interesting. Thanks for sharing & cheers to you~

    1. I’m so glad you bothered to enlarge them, they do look much better enlarged. I set the first one as my screen saver and it is darn cheery. Thank you my friend, so nice as always~

  11. I liked very much that you combined every gorgeous flower with a poem/special quote and what a beautiful flowers ! My favourites were the ones from Sitting Bill and William Shakespeare !! 🙂

  12. These flowers and your words are beautiful, Cindy! I nominated you for five awards! You can accept the awards, or choose not to, it is up to you! I feel you are worthy of all five but there may be one in particular that you wish to choose. I usually thank the ones who nominated me, nominate some ‘new to me’ blogs who I have not awarded nominations to and then contact them on their blogs! I am a bit of a rebel, although some of my first awards I really followed the rules! Smiles, Robin

  13. Cindy! You have an actual “Rose of Sharron”–my alltime favorite book (one of ’em by John) and a great name, if stock (ish) character. Wow. That flower looks like hornets just attached themselves to the end of the stems…

and you know…what if you–artist with a camera, and sensitive lady that you are–wrote some stanzas to lead us through? I bet you’d do justice to your work just as much as these greats…

      1. LOL I could not for the life of me figure out if strew was the right tense, but I was so tired, I let the universe decide. I’m glad you liked it. Have to run to get my daughter.

      1. Ha ha ha! I have many ideas and some are actually used by the general public but I doubt anything gets under the radar of Google!

Actually, some of the suggestions I made to Gmail were created and put into use. My favorite has been the ‘undo’ for sent e-mails. 😀 My husband says I should have been an engineer…. Ha ha ha!

    1. I think we often love that which we do not have!! The Lions Ear is truly a strange plant, Mine is about 6 feet tall now. I planted it our of curiousity and am surprised at the size. Cheers my friend~

    1. Your summers will be bursting with blooms though won’t they? We will be heading your way next spring, late April, and I hope to see some blooming then, even if not, it is so beautiful I can’t wait!!!

    1. Well I am honored and most appreciative too!! Thank you so much. Comments like these are so motivating. Loving your blog and great writing as well. Cheers to you~
