Coming home! Oh don’t you wish you could fly?

We are on the road now en route to a family mountain ski trip for the holidays. Today we found and got close to more wild red tails and a barn owl. Stay tuned for Pt. IV, the red tails flying close ……and maybe an owl or two!

Cheers to you from the road!

      1. lol! He has the right to do things in his own time……I was thinking the questions might be intimidating and too formatted. Tell him when he feels like it, to just tell me what he would like people to know about sand castle art and artists!!!

  1. Cindy, that first picture is phenomenal – I have never seen that position were the shoulders are hunched up like that. What an unusual and mesmerizing shot. He is already looking into the direction he wants to go in and his body is turning around…there is just something in that pose and the look of the eyes….words fail me.

    1. I have some pics where the bird is flying but surrounded 360 degrees by it’s wings, it looks like a mystery creature. I debated posting but decided it was too unusual. It is amazing how quickly and amazingly they contort themselves during flight. Thank you for your kind words~

  2. I’m loving these photos! I just keep hearing in my mind John Denver’s The Eagle and the Hawk. One of my all time favorites. (Not to mention, my ringtone)! Have a wonderful vacation and a very Merry Christmas!

  3. Wow, what a fab series of posts! I’m looking forward to iV.
I couldn’t reply to your reply in the last post, so I will here.
I’ve only ever made myself 1 gown, and most my clothes are black, white and denim. “lol” 🙂 I’m so busy dressing everyone else there’s not a lot of time left for me!

  4. I saw those first photos and just knew this was coming “Oh don’t you wish you could fly?” I wouldn’t be surprised if you find a way to do just that with your beloved hawks!

    1. Not very long at all. Only since I retired. I took over all the family photography when we retired. I only dabbled before that! I really do love it and am so pleased you like it to! Cheers to you~

      1. Cindy,

  5. They are indeed beautiful. We have Red Tail Hawk here. I think I wrote about a close encounter with one in my yard. Thank you for all the great photos of these lovely birds.

  6. Synchronicity Cindy.
