I can’t resist pandaring, not in a sexual or political way, but in a panda way! (Please click to enlarge).
There has to be something seriously wrong with someone who can resist a panda bear.
Okay, I know they can be nippy, and they pass a lot of gas, but come on, how can anything be this cute?
Besides you’d pass gas too, if you ate 26-84 pounds of bamboo every day. These guys are serious about eating their bamboo! I relate well to pretty much any creature who loves to eat this much.
But, as usual, I digress. Giant Pandas are the world’s rarest bear. They are endangered and their numbers continue to decrease in the wild.
There are 46 pandas living outside of China and an estimated 1,600 wild pandas living in China where they are designated national treasures. Six panda cubs have been born at the San Diego Zoo and most have been sent back to China for breeding purposes.
Three pandas were on view today including two cubs. Visiting them was a gas, pardon the pun, because there were very few visitors and lots of up close time with them. They are peaceful, marvelous creatures, who seem very content and focused on their bamboo!
I thought it most polite that this panda stopped eating long enough to wave goodbye to you with his bamboo! Cheers to you from San Diego Zoo’s Panda Trek!
Panda’s are so cute.

🙂
Wow. This is good! beautiful photos….
So glad you think so!
🙂
Those creatures are sooooo adorable!!!!
Incredible aren’t they!
Oh, I wish we had gone to see the pandas!
Well, you’ll have to come again and I’ll go with you!
Cute!! I love these ^_^
Me three!
😀 😀
Cute…in photos…they are bears. Don’t touch 😉
Exactly! They are bears after all!!!
Panda bears are so beautiful! You look at them and you just want to be near them and squeeze them in your arms! Thanks for that sharing and those wonderful pictures! Have a nice Thursday.
So very happy you enjoyed them and cheers to you!
They are very cute guys, and behind my neighbor’s house is a huge stand of bamboo we’d all like him to get rid. Wish I could borrow one for a day or two. Blessings, Natalie 🙂
Happy Holidays to you my friend!
I wondered about that title “Pandaring” when I first saw it….. great close-up shots of these highly anthropomorphised animals!
Yes, there are definitely celebrity animals and all endangered animals need our help, not just the cute ones~
They are so cute.
I wonder if they know it!
They endear and woo us. Is it their habits? Or they are just so adorable? Each image shows a bit of character. Image five is priceless with its expression and munching all at once. Truly, you’ve shown them not only in their element but with a keen eye.
I love trying to capture the personalities of animals and I love it that you took the time to notice! Thank you my friend~
I love meeting your friends!!! 🙂
I wonder if they have any idea how happy they make us!!!
Fabulous opportunity to catch these pandas! We saw them in the Beijing Zoo, but at a distance. And we had to peek over many shoulders just to get a glimpse.
Yes, that certainly turns the occasion into a circus and is non-optimal for getting a true sense of the animal. Still the Beijing Zoo would be an absolute thrill to experience!
They are so cute. Thanks for letting us see them so close up. 🙂
Thank you for caring enough to look!
Soooooo very, very wonderful:) Beautiful pictures of beautiful pandas.
Cheers to you ma deah!
Pandas are so cute animal. They look like cartoon characters than real animals. I like the way they eat bamboo stick. It is funny. Good pictures!
You can’t look at them without a big smile on your face!
Every time I’ve been to a zoo that had pandas they had them out doing something with them and I’ve never seen a live panda. Oh, well…, one of these days…! Great pics, Cindy.
Yes, I will not brave crowds for anything as they ruin the experience and panda keepers are understandably protective. Waiting for the right time is critical~
Reblogged this on Veraiconica's Blog and commented:
Cindy, thank you for these adorable panda pictures. They always have fascinated me. Hugs! Veraiconica
Hugz & gratitude back to you my friend & thank yous too!
Very sweet pics
So glad you enjoyed!
I would love the opportunity to take photos of a panda… these are great…
Actually difficult to photograph as their faces are often not-disernable and they are so fuzzy, the images tend to blur, but that said, they are soooo worth the effort! Hope you get to see them soon!
So sweet and makes my heart smile.
That is a lovely descriptor!
Fabulous 🙂
Lovely aren’t they!
So cute 🙂 In a way I look as a Panda too, don’t you think 😉 Pawkiss 🙂
Yes indeed you do! Pandas, penguins and you!!!
they are so cute and cuddly, everybody has to love them!
They are like a Rorschach test, if you don’t love them, there is something wrong!
There are people who resist pandaring? Impossible.
Hard to contemplate and not very flattering for the person I know……
Not flattering for the person at all!
The cutest of giants! 🙂
They look like teddy bears!
Don’t think I’d fare very well in an “eat your own weight in bamboo” contest, Cindy 🙂 I’ll leave it to the these gorgeous experts. Captivating photos!
I can completely relate to the desire to eat like this, but not the ability!
Ahhhh the Pandas are beautiful! I just want to hug them!! I love your pics of them!!
Makes me feel good! Gracias~
I don’t know which I enjoy most….your pictures or your comments. 🙂
Awwww, that it so nice! Merci beaucoup~
I love it. It’s true, it’s hard to resist a panda.
I certainly cannot!
Love, Love this post! I remember how they used their hands to eat bamboo 🙂
And their feet too!!! That really gets me!
I like your panda pictures, these animals are so cute. I didn’t know that they eat bamboo :))))
And LOTS of it!!! lol~
🙂
So handsome they are!
I wonder if they know it?????
Yeah, I think they do. They seem so confident.
exactly, “you can look at me. i know i’m beautiful….”
Oooh! Aren’t they just totally adorable! Huggly buggly!!
And can be a tad nippy too!!!
There is just something so beyond adorable about Panda bears!! I had just read the other day where they said there are only 1600 Pandas left in the wild. I just can’t imagine the world without them. Your photos are great (as usual)!! 🙂
Super sad to think of a world without polar or panda bears…. what in God’s name are we doing to our home?
– I don’t know in which U.S. zoo, a new baby Bao-Bao was born in the last few days!

Pandas sure are adorable 🙂
Like living teddy bears….with gas!
LOL 😆
Wow, very amazing Cindy! Your pics never cease to amaze me! _Resa xo
Very kind ma deah!
What!!! Sent back to China to breed – they can’t do it in the zoo…in front of all those people…hey what’s wrong with them – lol!!!
When my son was quite young we were at the zoo with his friend, when a large tortoise pair began mating, my son’s friend reached over the barrier to pet the male tortoise’s head, exclaiming, “poor turtle is having trouble breathing.” I nearly lost my Fruit Loops~
that made me laugh out loud – it’s amazing how children learn about life by catching the animals (doing it) in the zoo! Happy weekend my friend!
Possibly that explains some love making techniques…..
🙂
I have a friend who now works at the San Diego Zoo so I have really come to appreciate what an exceptional facility it is.
Yes my son volunteered at the Center for Research on Endangered Species (CRES) run by the San Diego Zoological Society AKA Zoo. They really are doing critically important work, plus all the employees I have met are happy with their jobs long term, which is unusual. I was a therapist on EAP panels and know this is quite noteworthy! Cheers & thanks for stopping by.
I simply love them!
Good! The more people who do, the better chance they have to survive~
are they the cutest!!! great photos Cindy…
Gracias mi amiga~
Very beautiful.
Hard to contemplate how anyone could harm one~
Oooo,how cute he is. <3
Yes indeed!
Pandas are adorable! These pictures made my Friday even better. Thanks for sharing!
That makes posting them worthwhile! Happy weekend~
This one really did make me laugh out loud. I could not agree more!!!
Oh yay!!! Luv your blog too ma deah!
I just want to hug a Panda bear but I know that’s not a good thing to do so I’ll simply be happy to know that we are having some success in the US with reproducing them in a safe environment.
I have fond memories of the San Diego Zoo from a couple thousand years ago but it’s truly ancient history.
I have the same memories. I went to the zoo since I was a baby and took my kids since they were babies. As a retired person, I am still going!!!
How do you get so many people commenting? Pandas are VERY cute!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I have made a lot of very good blogging friends whose friendship I value greatly. Interesting, smart people, who do creative, non-standard things. I would never have a chance to meet this many creative people from all over the world without blogging. I enjoy them immensely. I find my fellow bloggers, their blogs and opinions, more interesing than my own thoughts. I love reading blogs and talking with people. So glad you are a member of the panda appreciation club! Thanks for stopping by & for commenting!
Looking at pandas always draw a smile upon my face. They are so cute 🙂
They are happy bears! 🙂
Great photos! The pandas are adorable.
So happy you enjoyed & cheers to you!
I love your photos Cindy !!! 🙂 * Cynthia
I love your art Cynthia, so we’re even~
🙂
It feels like looking into the mirror!
One of my baby nephews love me because he thinks I look like Kung Fu Panda.
Ha ha ha ha ha
Then you must be very cute Hari!!!! 🙂
Well, I hope that I am!
Ha ha ha
The kids gave me lots of animal nicknames.
I have been called Hari the Penguin (because I love penguins), Winny the pooh, Garfield the cat, Mashimaro the white rabbit and Po the Kung Fu Panda.
😀
All of those are super nice characters so your kids obviously adore you!!!
Aren’t they just gorgeous. And you say they’re are gently too. I didn’t know that. I do hope to see some next year in China.
How exciting that you are going to China!! I have yet to go and look forward to your pictures!
It is very exciting. I do hope you actually get to go too.
Love them, they look so adorable !
So happy you do my friend & cheers to you~
That is a very nice set of photos!
So happy you think so & cheers to you!
Reblogged this on "OUR WORLD".
Very cute, I liked it, keep up the good work.
Thank you! But when are you going to get grumpy? lol~~
Oh my gosh Cindy, how adorable!!! Unfortunate about the gas… although I can’t imagine it bothers them much as they look content eating their bamboo!!! I love the pic you got when the Panda was looking straight on you. What a innocent looking creature. And I would imagine there are few species of bear that you could say that about!! Love this one & sharing now!! 🙂
It is amazing how often animals look directly at us without our knowing! I can only see this with telephoto! Maybe the Pandas need their gas, otherwise we’d be hugging them all the time! Laughing……
