  1. fabulous photos Cindy, you certainly are working your camera! the 5th photo down, check out the spider web on the buds…great catch@ I’m sure it will take you a few days to feel rested after such a wonderful time away…

    1. Oh yeah! I hate jet lag. We are like The Hellstrom Chronicles out here! Bugs, bugs and more bugs. The camera catches all sorts of bugs I don’t even know are in the photos! Cheeky bugs~

  2. Welcome Home,Cindy! Nature is welcoming you home as well.You are so lucky. I hope you had a wonderful time in places you visited.

    1. Isn’t it. It’s growning in a pot and just started to bloom while we were away. The gladiolas are blooming too. I usually miss them. They don’t photograph well because they are a dark midnight, purple. Gorgeous!

  3. Welcome Home! Sorry to see your vacation end though because I felt apart of it though your awesome photographic travelogue. I hope you are filled with loads of wonderful memories.

    1. Aren’t the calves adorable. I never knew cows could be so endearing but they are. I can see why cowboys called them “doggies.” The calves are just so sweet. Thank you~

    1. Aren’t they wonderful. It has been a whole new learning experience for me living with free range cattle. They are social, they bond intensely with each other, they grieve if a cow dies, and they roar like dinosaurs!! Who knew??

  4. I have previously reblogged, thereby making some of your posts easily accessible to myself, without asking. But would you prefer that I NOT reblog? Ask each time? or may I reblog? ps Welcome home — Bear — and may I reblog this?

    1. I love them all except the B1 Bomber. Actually, I used to be terrified of the B1’s. Now I am not and get close for photos and such. But they will fly at you, buzzing like, a B1 bomber. I need to ask Emily Heath what they are (see above). Big, fuzzy, buzzers! Cheers to you Rebecca.

      1. To market, to market, to buy a fat pig,
        Home again, home again, dancing a jig;
        To market, to market, to buy a fat hog;
        Home again, home again, jiggety-jog;
        To market, to market, to buy a plum bun,
        Home again, home again, market is done.
        🙂

    1. I was out last night and the hummingbirds were buzzing around, a baby bunny sat munching my flowers, watching me with one eye, and the baby finches in their nest are almost fully fledged. Not to mention the calf greeting committee! Yep. It is a beautiful world and you are a wonderful blogging friend. Cheers~

  5. did you miniaturize yourself, hire a biplane & go up inna air to take these? because that bee photo detail is insane!! Best flower photos ever! Is that a wasp below there? I am sharing to FB!! WOW!

  6. What a sweet welcome home for you. Here’s a little tale you can tell to your bumblebees and they will be ever so happy with you. “When Darwin, or indeed any of his contemporaries, wrote of the animated bundles of fluff, he would have called them humblebees. But they weren’t humble in the sense of lowly beings doing the drudge work of nectar and pollen collecting; rather they would have been celebrated for the powerful evolutionary interaction with the flowers they had visited for millions of years. Darwin would have called them humblebees because, as they fly, they hum. Simple.” http://www.guardian.co.uk/environment/2010/aug/01/humblebee-bumblebee-darwin

    1. How perfectly wonderful and fascinating. I confess to being a huge Darwin fan. We traced the voyage of his HMS Beagle in Antarctica. And of course, The Beagle Channel is one of the most stunning natural wonders I have seen. Can you imagine him sailing in these arctic waters all those years ago? Great admiration for this man and his contributions. I love the humble bumble name! I am quite content with bees in general and always have been. We have gazillions of them at The Holler due to all the flowers and I am so happy with them buzzing industriously around me. I used to be scared of the B-1 Bombers, but like most critters, if you stand quite still, they don’t bother you.
      Thank you for this wonderful article and new knowledge~

      1. I have such a happy picture in my head of Cindy standing still in the midst of a bee symphony 🙂 Yes, those old time voyages were quite something.

      2. This is wonderful tonight I am communicating in real time with some of my best blogger friends and I was just out with the sunset and the bees! We are in synch~
